Proposed Code of Practice for Employers and Employees on the Management of Bullying at Work

Welcome to the submissions page on the proposed Code of Practice for Employers and Employees on the Management of Bullying at Work. This Code of Practice for Employers and Employees on the management of Bullying at Work has been jointly developed by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC). It has already been the subject of consultations undertaken by the Workplace Relations Commission under their procedures for the development of such Codes. The social partners were thus already consulted in the development and agreement of the Code as it is. Under the HSA's legislation, codes are required to be published for formal public consultation.

Purpose of Consultation

The Authority policy to consult with stakeholders is in line with an open and transparent approach to decision making so that the Code will have widespread ownership and reflect the requirements and aspirations of the people it effects.

Consultation Process

The Authority now seeks submissions directly from interested parties.

Any submissions which are relevant to those areas that are within the remit of the WRC will be forwarded to the WRC for consideration.

On receipt of submissions, they will each be evaluated by the Authority and responses will be published on the website following submission of the final draft document to the Minister
