Updating the HSA's Guidance on Technical Land-use Planning Advice for Planning Authorities and Operators of Establishments under the COMAH Regulations

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) previously published Guidance on Technical Land Use Planning (TLUP) Advice for Planning Authorities and Operators of Establishments under the COMAH Regulations.

This Guidance sets out the policy and practice of the HSA in the provision of technical land-use planning advice to planning authorities.

The Guidance was updated in 2023 to include a new section on the TLUP approach for hydrogen installations (version 2).

It is now proposed to make further updates to the Guidance.

A summary of the updates and associated justifications are outlined in this document.

The HSA welcomes submissions on the revised technical detail from interested parties.

The closing date for receipt of submissions is Wednesday, 15th of April at 5pm.
